Kim Malcom - Director

Welcome to Ballet on Broad Dance and Gymnastics PlaySchool.

As the director of this wonderful school of arts I would like to thank you for your interest in my Studio.

I grew up in Monroe, Georgia as an entrepreneurs daughter on Broad Street. Once having children of my own I found it difficult to work in the retail business and be a mother. I tried the stay-at-home-mom job for a while and found it to be enjoyable, however, I needed an outlet of my own.

I dipped into my own experiences and the love of my children and found a nice compromise. My studio allows my children to interact with other children, I can still be mom, and I have a studio to tame my love of business!

I began training in classical ballet at Walton School of Dance when I was two years of age under the direction of Jane Hoffemeyer. After sixteen years of training I attended Georgia College and State University. While in college I attended two years of dance camps as part of the University of Georgia system.

I married my high school sweety, Jonathan, in '99, and we had our first son, Tristen, in June of '01. A couple of years later we decided we were ready for another child and we welcomed our second son Coleman in April of '03. Not long after we were surprised with a new arrival. Our daughter Karrigan was born in August of '04.

My hobbies and first love are my children. I find being a mommy the best adventure ever!!

I have a wonderful staff of teachers here at Ballet on Broad. We offer a wide variety of programs for any age and any desire.
